My Real Problem With Pisces

Are Pisces really THAT bad? Here is my take on Pisces energy, from an astrological perspective.

About Pisces Energy

Pisces is a water sign as well as the last sign of the zodiac, thereby ruling the 12th house of the astrology wheel. With Pisces being the final zodiac sign, it is a culmination of the preceding 11 signs.

Every astrologer is biased, though many won't admit this. I am aware of and honest about my biases and preferences while also being fair. Those who know me know that Pisces is my least favorite sign, and I tease and talk smack about it. This has more to do with Pisces energy itself, not necessarily people with Pisces placements (though I can’t stand some of those mofos either 🙄😅).

In my opinion, Pisces is the most challenging energy for the human experience, which is why many people with Pisces placements struggle with harnessing the spiritual and emotional depth of this water sign.

Pisces is deeply spiritual and emotional. The energy is boundless, fluid, illusory, dark, and elusive. It rules things that exist but are hidden and invisible, such as spirits, subconscious beliefs, confusion, and manipulation, to name a few. Things that are unseen or misunderstood are hard for humans to deal with and control.

Pisces rules dreams and imagination, and it is a portal between spiritual and earthly worlds. It is the gatekeeper of life and death. It rules the end of the life cycle. This is why people with prominent Pisces placements tend to be fascinated with death and gory things. No wonder Erykah Badu is a birth doula who ushers new souls into this world AND a death doula who ushers experienced souls out of this world. What a beautiful role.

The Low and High Expressions of Pisces

Every zodiac sign has low and high expressions.

On the low end, Pisces rules delusions, confusion, lies, deception, addiction, escapism, codependency, depression, anxiety, mental illness, suicide, and institutions such as jails, prisons, asylums, and hospitals. People with Pisces energy often struggle to deal with reality. When I read clients’ charts with prominent Pisces/12th house placements, I always encourage them to tend to their mental health and to ground themselves, and I point to specific ways they can heal themselves, as their charts will show me.

On the high end, Pisces rules creativity, compassion, intuition, wisdom that’s culminated from all the zodiac signs, healing, psychic abilities, and a deep connection to the spirit worlds and ancestral realm. People with prominent Pisces/12th house placements who have mastered these energies make EXCELLENT healers, shamans, priests, mediums, alchemists, magicians, dancers (Pisces rules the feet), actors, performers, morticians, nurses, astral projectors/travelers, psychics, medicine men/Women, musicians, artists, dream interpreters, occultists, therapists, and counselors. Their deep imagination makes them POWERFULLLL Master Manifestors because imagination and visualization are key skills needed to manifest one’s desires, as does a little delusion that Pisces has plenty of. ☺️

Transmuting Challenges Into Power

Pisces energy makes dealing with this earthly plane and material matters difficult. This is why people with this energy often feel like a misfit or like they don’t belong on earth. I’ve seen a handful of people with prominent Pisces placements master and actualize these energies. They are some of the most beautiful, powerful people I’ve ever encountered.

I have a prominent 12th house placement that is very challenging and has created a vulnerability in my life. But as I’ve developed myself, navigated this social world, and learned to master energy, it has made me extremely powerful and psychic.

Your weakness is only your strength in reverse, if you so choose to seize this opportunity-in-disguise and do the self-work.
